Members will be aware that the society gives them access to the studbook online which can be accessed under the Breeding tab on our website This not only allows you to study pedigrees but it also gives the opportunity to ‘check mate’ when planning your breeding. You can easily see common ancestors shared by the stallion that you might be thinking of using on your mare which is very useful.The attached photos show where to access this information and an example of checkmate. I have used two closely related ponies to highlight this.You can also look at some show results for each pony.If you want to search for a deceased pony-click ‘all’ on the left dropdown menu under animal status
You can also check that any ponies that you have sold are no longer in your name and have been transferred correctly.
