Unfortunately, one of the young stallions having been collected from the stallion field developed a significant nasal discharge and slight cough
After inspection of all the stallions remaining in the field a couple of them were not as perfectly dry-nosed as one would wish.
After full consultation between the Head Agister, Chairman and Show Director and others it was felt that in the best interests of both the stallions and all other competitors at the show, the Forest-Run Stallion Classes (4 and 5) should be cancelled.
This is very sad news as the Stallion Show is such an important ‘showcase’ for our forestrun stallions but the health of the stallions and other ponies at the show is of paramount importance.
